Bachelor´s thesis deals with cattle parturition. It defines what is physiological parturition, describes different stages of calving, the signs of upcoming parturition, positions of the fetus, assistance of a breeder or veterinarian during parturition, the most common complications that happen during parturition and also defines the main cost items associated with the birth of a calf. The practical part of this thesis is based on a dataset of births from Holstein cattle breeding in the School Farm Žabčice in the period from 1. 12. 2021 to 1. 12. 2022. These data include the date of each birth, the sex of the calf born, the process of the birth and if it was a cow or heifer birth. A total of 566 births were recorded in period during data recording. There were 597 calves born overall. In 55 % of the births, heifers were born and 45 % of the births were bulls. In 89 % of cases there were easy births, 7 % were more difficult births and 4 % were very complicated births. In general, cows gave birth more easily than heifers. In conclusion, some recommendations for the breeding practice of the selected farm are given.
The prestige of General Nurse in the South Bohemian Region
ČERKLOVÁ, Sára
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to explore the prestige of the nursing profession in the South Bohemian Region. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part focuses on nursing care and the profession of nursing. Throughout the theoretical part, attention is focused on describing the history of nursing, on defining the job responsibilities, role of nurses in healthcare and required education for a nurse as well as nurse's core competencies. The theoretical part also presents the definition of prestige and the prestige of nursing in particular. Furthermore, the theoretical part describes the factors that influence prestige of nursing. The practical part uses both qualitative and quantitative research. The qualitative research consists of in-depth interviews with eight respondents. In order to carry out this part we set up following research questions: 1: What's the opinion of nurses regarding the prestige of their profession? 2: What do the nurses think is the public perception of the prestige of their profession? 3: What factors influence the prestige of the nursing profession? Besides, two almost identical survey researches were used to realize the quantitative research. This questionnaire was presented to nurses and lay public. Four hypotheses were created to study quantitative research: 1: The perception of the nursing profession in the South Bohemian Region differs depending on age. 2. The perception of the nursing profession in the South Bohemian Region varies depending on experience with nursing care. Based on the research we found out that the profession of nursing in the South Bohemian Region is perceived very positively. Furthermore, we discovered that the public image of nurses does not depend on gender. On the other hand personal experience with nursing does have an influence on the prestige of the nursing profession.
Functional anthropometric changes of trunk position after ankle injuries
ŠVARC, Jiří
This thesis deal with functional changes in trunk position in patients after an ankle injury. Changes in trunk posture are examined on a pelvic position on probands between 4 to 8 weeks after an ankle injury. The result of the work could indicate whether the ankle joint injury affects the position of the pelvis and whether there is a typical pelvic posture after this injury. In the first part of the thesis, I present theoretical knowledge that provides the basis for the research part. I rely on the anatomical structure and kinesiology of the lower limb, the functional connection of the lower limb as a whole, the principles of generalization of functional disorders in the human body, and knowledge about injuries to the ankle joint. The aim of this thesis is to analyze functional anthropometric changes in the position of the trunk after ankle joint injuries, which are evaluated by examining the position of the spina iliaca anterior superior, spina iliaca posterior superior and crista iliaca. The research part is performed by the method of mixed research. The subject of the research is the clinical examination of ten probands after ankle joint injury and statistical evaluation of the obtained data on the position of the pelvis. Results: In all ten probands there was a decrease in at least one observed pelvic structure on the side of the injured ankle joint. Six probands showed a drop in all three structures on the injured side. In the remaining four probands, only the spina iliaca posterior superior of the injured side dropped. Conclusion: All probands after ankle joint injury showed a drop in at least one pelvic structure on the side after an ankle injury. The position of the pelvis was not the same for all probands.

Ježek, Jiří ; Říchová, Blanka (advisor) ; Brunclík, Miloš (referee)
Bachelor thesis "Speaker of the House of Commons" is developed as a case study of the important actor of the British political system and the highest authority of the UK's parliament - the Speaker of the House of Commons. In descriptive terms, the thesis is focused on speaker's competences and duties as well as on explanation of many specific aspects like speaker's impartiality. Impacts of reforms and historical precedents on a contemporary set-up of the speakership are examined in analytic terms. The work is extensive focused on speaker's election which is deeply connected with tradition and common law. The thesis continuously refers to empirical reality in order to explain how general rules are applied in practice. Last but not least, the work examined a collision between the office of MP (Member of the Parliament) and the office of the Speaker. The thesis is also focused on whether the Speaker can be recalled and what is speaker's political activity after leaving office. Due to lack of publications that comprehensively refer to this topic (not to mention Czech literature), fundamental aim of the bachelor thesis is to explain who the Speaker is.

The thesis deals with the issue of legal status of professional sportsmen performing collective sports and professional referees active in collective sports from the perspective of personal income tax. Kalánek, Filip ; Šístek, František (advisor) ; Tejchman, Miroslav (referee)
This bachelor thesis concerns with the development of the legal status of the Serbian minority in Croatia during the period of the integration of Croatia to the European union in years 2000- 2011. This thesis uses the historical approach to research the attitude of Croatian governments towards Serbs. The research of this attitude is based on enacted laws connected to national minorities, the implementation of guaranteed rights and the willingness of ruling politicians to maintain interests of the Serbian minority. These mentioned points belong to domestic political affairs, however the position of the national minorities was significantly affected by the EU because of an ambition of every single government to join the union. Since the year 2000 the legal position of Serbs has improved in comparison to 90's when anti-Serbian mood, which was fostered by the governing Croatian democratic community, was spread through whole Croatian society. Significant part of the Serbian issue represents property rights of refugees who left the country during a war in 90's. The normalization of Serbian position formally ended in 2011 when Croatia fulfilled all EU conditions liked to the protection of national minorities and finished accession talks. This thesis concludes that EU played a key role in improving legal...
Result/inference discourse connectives in academic texts
Tomešová, Klára ; Malá, Markéta (advisor) ; Brůhová, Gabriela (referee)
The present thesis compares the use of result/inference discourse connectives in two corpora compiled by the author. The student corpus consists of 43 literary essays by Czech university students of English and American studies and the reference corpus contains 34 journal articles written by native expert writers. The main objective of the thesis was to determine to what extent students resemble professional writers in their use of result/inference connectives with respect to the frequency, position and scope of the connectives. The thesis revealed a strong overall overuse of result/inference connectives by students as well as overuse and underuse of individual connectives. It was also found that both types of writers generally prefer initial to non-initial placement of result/inference connectives; however, students more frequently use the connectives with the immediate scope.

Mach, Jaroslav ; Josková, Lucie (advisor) ; Hurychová, Klára (referee)
Status of governing body of business corporation in liquidation Abstract The frequency of cases of business corporations in liquidation has an increasing trend, however, it cannot be said that the academic interest would sufficiently cover the topic of liquidations. There are still a number of insufficiently answered questions that lead to completely opposite conclusions in practice. This diploma thesis deals with one such issue, which is the position of the statutory body of a business corporation in liquidation. In the ranks of the professional community, one can also encounter certain doubts about the existence of the statutory body of a business corporation in liquidation, that the statutory body should cease to exist. This paper seeks to answer this question through a critical analysis of legal regulations and compilations of works by the professional community. At the beginning the work briefly defines the individual terms in the first chapter for the needs of this work in order to maintain the conceptual unity. The terms are business corporation, statutory body, liquidation and its purpose and, last but not least, the liquidator. First, however, the question of the existence of the statutory body of a business corporation in liquidation must be resolved. Here, I conclude, by means of a critical...
